Day 1:

  • Arrive in Bangkok and check into your hotel
  • Visit the iconic Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), a temple complex located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River
  • Take a leisurely boat ride along the river to the Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) and the Grand Palace, two of Bangkok's most famous and historic sites
  • Explore the bustling Chinatown neighborhood and try some of the street food vendors for a taste of Thai cuisine

Day 2:

  • Visit the Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), a temple complex that is home to the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok
  • Take a tuk-tuk ride to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest outdoor markets in the world
  • Explore the nearby Or Tor Kor Market, a high-end indoor market known for its fresh produce and specialty foods
  • End the day with a traditional Thai massage at one of Bangkok's many spas

Day 3:

  • Take a day trip to the ancient city of Ayutthaya, located just outside of Bangkok
  • Visit the historic temples and palaces of Ayutthaya, including the Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and the Wat Chai Wattanaram
  • Take a scenic boat ride along the Chao Phraya River back to Bangkok

Day 4:

  • Visit the Jim Thompson House, a museum dedicated to the famous American businessman and collector of Thai art
  • Take a stroll through the nearby Suan Pakkard Palace, a beautiful garden and museum complex
  • Explore the Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple), a temple made entirely of marble and one of the most beautiful in Bangkok
  • Visit the Wat Suthat Thepwararam, a temple known for its giant red swing and elaborate carvings

Day 5:

  • Visit the Wat Mahathat, a temple complex known for its large pagoda and sacred tree
  • Take a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to the Wat Saket (Golden Mount), a temple and hilltop offering panoramic views of Bangkok
  • Explore the nearby Wat Mangkon Kamalawat, a Chinese temple known for its vibrant festivals and lively atmosphere
  • Visit the Wat Mangkon, a temple that is an important center for Thai-Chinese cultural activities

Day 6:

  • Take a scenic boat ride through the canals of Thonburi, a historic district of Bangkok
  • Visit the Wat Prayoon, a temple and park located along the river
  • Explore the nearby Wat Anongkharam, a temple known for its intricate carvings and beautiful gardens
  • Take a boat ride to the Wat Kalayanamit, a temple with a large statue of the Buddha and intricate carvings

Day 7:

  • Take a scenic boat ride to the Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) for a final visit
  • Visit the nearby Wat Phra Non, a temple and park known for its large reclining Buddha statue
  • End your trip with a farewell dinner at a traditional Thai restaurant in Bangkok.
