City of Rome is one giant museum. It is therefore no surprise that the complete historic city centre is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

With over 900 churches, no other city in the world is so representative for the Catholic faith. The most famous church for visiting in Rome Italy is of course St Peter's Basilica. The basilica is the residence of the pope in the ministate of Vatican City. Rome is called the “Eternal City of Europe.” Rome is famous for its industrial design, fashion, food, cinema and opera. Venice’s palaces, towers and domes are also part of the nearby roman architecture.

Colosseum is probably one of the most universally recognised symbols of Rome. Built with a 50,000-seat amphitheatre had a retractable linen awning to protect crowds from rain and sun. Romans came here to watch games and other events, and among the most popular were the gladiatorial contests.

Get to the most famous fountain in the world, Trevi Fountain. Throw a coin in the tourist fountain to make sure you will one day return to visit Rome Italy. Rome is also surrounded by snowy peaks of the Alps and also with a rugged landscape surrounds Etna one of the most active volcano in the world.

Rome has an urban transport network which consists of buses, trams, rapid transit lines, light rail lines and suburban railways. The Rome Metro, rapid transit system serving the city with three underground lines. The first track opened in 1955. The total length of the network is 60 km (37 mi) with 73 stations. Rome is one of the major hubs of Italian railway network, along with Milan and Bologna. The main railway station serving the city, Roma Termini, is the busiest station in Italy and one of the largest in Europe
